President, Chief Executive Officer
Mike Ciprick joined Micralyne in July 2011 as Chief Financial Officer and was later appointed to CEO. Mike also serves as the President and Director of Micralyne.
Before joining Micralyne, Mike provided over 16 years of continuous financial leadership for steel products manufacturer, AltaSteel Ltd.($250M revenue) and subsidiary, Moly-Cop Canada ($100M revenue) where he held positions as Finance Manager, CFO, and Director of Human Resources in both Edmonton, AB and Kamloops, BC.
During his tenure at AltaSteel Ltd., Mike led a number of unique assignments which included the acquisition and integration of a $65M raw material supplier to AltaSteel and guiding the vendor due diligence and sales process of AltaSteel as part of Anglo American’s $1B sale of the Moly-Cop International group of companies to One Steel Inc. in 2010. Mike graduated in 1988 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science and received his C.A. designation in 1995 while working at KPMG.
Chief Revenue Officer
Mr. Paul Pickering joined Micralyne in September 2015 as Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to joining Micralyne, Mr. Pickering was VP of Worldwide Sales for Innovative Micro Technology, a MEMS technology and manufacturing company based in California.
As Chief Revenue Officer, his responsibility is to oversee the client facing and market facing organizations that promote Micralyne technologies on a global basis. These teams are focused on engaging customers in key market segments that represent the best technical fit for the Micralyne technologies and provide sustained growth into the next decade.
Mr. Pickering has led global sales and marketing organizations for several public semiconductor manufacturers as well as multiple technology start-up companies. He has more than 18 years of corporate executive experience in sales and marketing. Prior positions held include Executive VP of Sales and Marketing at Exar Corporation, an analog and mixed signal semiconductor manufacturer and Executive VP of Sales and Marketing at Xpedion Design Systems which was acquired by Agilent in 2006. He is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
Vice President, Engineering
Collin has worked at Micralyne for more than 15 years and is currently the Vice President of Engineering. Previous roles at Micralyne have included VP Sales & Marketing, Director of R&D, Product Line Manager for the communications industry, Project Manager, and Development Engineer. He has managed development programs for many devices including optical telecom switches, implantable medical devices, MEMS microphones, pressure sensors, and components for military applications.
Mr. Twanow is responsible for leading a talented team of Engineers focused on developing fabrication technology and unique MEMS devices for Micralyne’s customers. The Engineering group creates new prototype devices and reduces the process flow to practice for volume manufacturing. Engineering works closely with Sale & Marketing and Operations to ensure that Micralyne achieves technical and business goals for our clients.
Collin is a Professional Engineer and holds a B.Sc in Engineering Physics as well as an Electrical Engineering M.Eng degree with a specialization in Microfabrication. Collin has also lectured on wafer fabrication topics at the University of Alberta.
Vice President, Operations
Yan has been Vice President, Operations since October 2010. Yan joined Micralyne in September of 1995, and has more than 16 years of hands-on experience in MEMS fabrication, strategic production planning, team/talent development and operations management.
Yan is responsible for leading the Operations team including Fabrication, Test & Assembly, Planning & Inventory Control, Operations Engineering, and Equipment Engineering. As one of the founding members of the Operations group, Yan is devoted to the development and improvement of Micralyne’s manufacturing capability as a MEMS foundry. Yan has a proven track record for achieving both foundry business deliverables and engineering project fabrication needs.
Yan communicates fluently in both English and Chinese. She holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harbin University of Science and Technology and a Master’s degree in Engineering from University of Alberta.
