Micralyne’s High Voltage (HV) Power Supply unit is a versatile capillary electrophoresis instrument that finds use in many chemical analysis labs. The Power Supply is computer programmable and includes current monitoring capabilities. This instrument is the ideal tool for several applications based on capillary electrophoresis, including CZE, CGE, MECC and CEC.

New Microfluidic Product Offering

Micralyne and Cascade Microtech recently announced the L-Series product line, which comprises powerful new microfluidic interface, micro-positioning and microscopy products from Cascade Microtech that are used in combination with Micralyne's HV Power Supply and microfluidic chips for capillary electrophoresis. The products are designed to provide experimental flexibility to the microfluidics researcher. Microports™, the chip reservoir interface products, provide both an electrical and fluidic connection to the chip reservoir. Micro-Positioning and Microscopy products include micro-positioning components, chip platforms and microscope stations. These new products have been designed to work together with Micralyne's microfluidic chips and HV Power Supply for flexible capillary electrophoresis-based on-chip experimentation. Operation of Capillary Electrophoresis Instrument (HV Power Supply)

The voltage outputs of the unit are controlled by an included customized software program designed in a LabView™ format. Each of the HV channels can be set to a voltage between 0 and +6kV, as well as to ground or float from the power source using a set of relays. A quick-switching function can also be enabled if the HV channels are used in pairs.

Each channel’s voltage, current and relay states are continuously monitored during a run. A plug-in data acquisition board is also available, allowing synchronous control of HV power supply and detector units, as well as current, voltage and detector data storage in one file.
