Alberta Microelectronic Corporation Names New Director of Biomarketing
Edmonton, Alberta, February 17, 2000 - The Alberta Microelectronic Corporation (AMC) has appointed Sandra Katz into the newly created position of Director of Biomarketing. Ms. Katz will be responsible for managing marketing and sales activities, as well as business development plans to expand AMC's business as a biochip supplier.
Ms. Katz has spent sixteen years in biotechnology and related industries, including extensive experience in strategic planning and development, commercialization and promotion. Most recently, she managed her own biopharmaceutical consulting company, Stonewood Biomarketing. Prior to that, she held product and marketing management positions at companies that included Biomira, an Edmonton-based biotechnology company specializing in the development of cancer therapeutics, and Millipore, a multi-national corporation based in Boston, where Ms. Katz managed several key product lines on a world-wide basis in the life science area.
