Edmonton, Alberta, November 20, 2000 - Micralyne Inc. announced today that is has entered into an agreement whereby it will transfer the staff and business of its former Systems Division to AMC Technologies Corporation of Edmonton, Alberta. As a part of the transaction, 13 staff will leave Micralyne and join AMC Technologies. Micralyne's remaining 63 staff will continue as employees of Micralyne. Both companies expect to expand operations over the coming year and continue to be based in Edmonton, Alberta.
"The sale of the Systems Division is a part of our strategy to concentrate on our core competency of microfabrication. Micralyne is now completely focused on microfabrication and its use in biotechnology and telecommunication applications. In addition, this transaction will allow our former systems business to fully realize its potential", said Chris Lumb, President and CEO of Micralyne.
